Freezing systems
The Freezing systems solution
For decades, IPCO has been a trusted provider of freezer systems for the food industry. Since our first steel belt contact freezer for ice cream in 1959, our industrial freezer solutions have been used by major food producers worldwide. By combining air-blast freezing with the thermal efficiency of stainless steel belts, we help food processors achieve faster freezing times, superior product quality and reduced energy consumption.
Clean and efficient processing on a steel belt
The smooth, joint-free surface of IPCO’s steel belt enables maximum hygiene and gentle product handling, reducing waste and breakage. Today, our freezing technology is relied on by all major freeze-dried coffee manufacturers and many others across the industry. Other typical applications include whole fish, fish fillets, crabs, scallops, shrimp, hamburger patties, freeze-dried coffee, tea extract and baby food.

How it works
Continuous and highly efficient freezing on IPCO steel belts
Our air-blast freezing systems are available in two configurations: conventional air-blast, where chilled air is blown onto the product and under the belt, and impingement freezing, where high-velocity air jets accelerate the cooling process.
Using a continuously running stainless steel belt, our freezing systems operate at ultra-low temperatures, ensuring rapid and uniform freezing. The steel belt’s thermal properties allow it to handle freezing and defrosting cycles without compromising durability. Automated air flaps enable quick, controlled defrosting to maintain efficiency.
We also provide integrated solutions, including belt heating, product feeding, and systems for breaking, overflow collection, and thickness calibration for liquid-based products like coffee.
