IPCO is recognized as a world leader in the supply of steel belts to manufacturers of wood based panels. Our two core steel belt grades for this sector, the IPCO 1100C and the IPCO 1650SM, are used to increase production efficiency and quality for medium density fiberboard (MDF), high-density fiberboard (HDF), oriented strand board (OSB), laminated veneer lumber (LVL) and particle board used in insulation panels, engineered wood fence panels, kitchen cabinets and more.
As well as supplying high-quality press belts, we help manufacturers achieve optimum product quality through high quality service, while at the same time maximizing press productivity.
For furniture, packaging and as carrier boards for laminate flooring, thin fibreboard such as MDF and HDF is the preferred choice. IPCO’s continuous steel belts are well suited to producing this thinner material to the strength needed, at speeds of up to 3,000mm per second.
IPCO steel belts are precision engineered to produce MDF wood paneling and particle boards that require little or no post-production sanding before laminating or coating – further accelerating the production of customer-ready, engineered, laminated wood panels.
More and more panel boards are now being made from sustainable materials such as rice straw, grass, coconut husk fibers, sugar cane, hemp and other agro-waste products. We work closely with innovative manufacturers to optimize our steel belts to produce panel boards from these materials.
With service technicians and technical experts in 25 countries worldwide, IPCO clients benefit from ongoing operational support and rapid response to any issues. We also offer preventative maintenance including site inspections. When repairs are needed, we have specialist equipment and patented tools on-hand to fix things fast.
