Our ThermoPress Portfolio
There are four main types of ThermoPress double belt press, each with its own set of modular options to deliver different levels of heat and pressure.
There are four main types of ThermoPress double belt press, each with its own set of modular options to deliver different levels of heat and pressure.
The IPCO ThermoPress machine range is the world’s only double belt press system available with a choice of steel belts, PTFE belts or a combination of the two. With a comprehensive range of modular options, you can combine different processes into one continuous system for production at scale.
This design of this versatile, continuous double belt press machine allows for a multi-stage approach. By incorporating controlled polymerization, curing, and cooling in a single system, it unlocks a wide range of highly efficient, environmentally friendly process solutions.
With total control of individual process parameters, every aspect of an IPCO ThermoPress system is designed to maximize throughput levels and increase the quality of your end product.
Typical applications include:
Automotive interiors and bodywork parts
Batteries, fuel cells
Bio-based materials
Building/construction materials
Carbon fiber products
Flooring
Lightweight composite materials
Non-wovens and technical textiles
Organo sheets
Pre-pregs
Recycled/sustainable materials

How it works
The modularity of the ThermoPress double belt press is central to its ability to meet a range of industrial processing needs.
Calibrating thickness
Increasing density
Removing or reducing trapped air
Increasing mechanical strength or stiffness
Consolidating sheets of varying thickness or consolidating sheets onto a honeycomb/metallic structure
Impregnating fibers with resins (thermoplastic or thermoset)
Impregnating powder, film, or liquid resin onto non-woven or felt material
Consolidating wetted fibres into a final fibre composite material (pressure ensures better wet-out)
To increase this flexibility, ThermoPress double belt presses can be integrated into continuous production lines that incorporate additional process solutions. These include our ScatterPro precision scattering systems and a full range of upstream and downstream equipment, including systems for feeding, unwinding/winding, trimming, cutting, and handling.
