There are four main types of ThermoPress double belt press, each with its own set of modular options to deliver different levels of heat and pressure.
The ThermoPress TB is a low-pressure range based on an easy-release polytetrafluoroethylene or PTFE conveyor belt. It is used for the continuous consolidation and compacting of two or more materials. The system has a wide range of applications, including composites, non-wovens, and recycling.
The ThermoPress TB double belt press series features PTFE coated belts and a choice of pressure elements. A modular design means that several process stages can be incorporated into a single continuous system.
Accurate control of temperature and pressure coupled with low mechanical stress ensures a high-quality end product, while efficient processing results in high throughput speeds.
The ThermoPress TB is available in four modules:
Double belt ThermoPress with nip roller and heating/cooling
Double belt ThermoPress with nip rollers and S-roller
Double belt ThermoPress with nip rollers, S-roller, and counter-pressure roller
Double belt ThermoPress with CPB counter pressure belt system
Typical laminating applications include: multi-layered materials, carbon fibers, honeycomb, carpet backing, fiber and plastic recycling, automotive body parts, technical textiles, non-wovens, natural or glass fibers, composites (fiber or metal), sandwich sheets, organo sheets, carbon.
