IPCO solutions
As a pioneering supplier of steel belts for the forestry and paper sector, IPCO can ensure high-quality, high-capacity production of pulp, board, and paper. Our expert teams can produce endless-welded steel belts up to 10 m wide to meet your processing requirements.
Our ultra-wide belts (up to 10 m) are sized for the exceptional needs of the industry and facilitate extended press nip solutions.
Key benefits include:
Increased productivity due to greater drying capacity
High bulk and stiffness for lower material costs
Smooth surface finish for enhanced feel and printability
The high-spec. steel options for IPCO belts used in pulp and paper plants ensure long and reliable wear due to their high corrosion-resistance and overall strength. This, combined with our rapid global support system (we have expert technicians in 25 countries) and preventative maintenance means less downtime for improved productivity.
Unmatched experience
120+ years
We launched the world’s first steel belt conveyor for a wood mill in Sweden in 1901.
Service and support
24x7
Maintaining continuous production for our clients around the world.
Sustainability focused
60%
Of our energy consumption in 2023 came from renewable sources.
Our advanced processes and extensive experience make us experts in producing the ultra-wide belts required for high-productivity processing of premium quality board, coated paper, and uncoated paper.
IPCO steel belts are manufactured to fine tolerances and engineered to ensure absolute flatness, making them ideal for use in paper and pulp mill applications, such as paper drying machines, presses, boost dryers, and machines to wash paper pulp.
IPCO has invested heavily in the technology required to manufacture, install, commission, and repair steel belts of all sizes. We are proactive in R&D and continually improve the tolerances we can offer.
IPCO has been building specific pulp and paper mill expertise since 1901 and we continually refine our wide steel belts for precision and performance.
IPCO recently designed a steel belt press specifically for processing wood pulp-derived materials such as lignin and cellulose (casting the material in film form). The potential uses for this type of bio-based film as an alternative to plastic go well beyond packaging to include tech, pharmaceutical, and biomedical applications.
For pulp and paper production we offer two steel belt grades. Both are highly suited to the demands of the pulp industry, being corrosion resistant, strong enough to withstand a constant dynamic load over an extended period and with good repairability.
IPCO 1650SM is made of low-carbon, martensitic, precipitation-hardened, stainless steel.
IPCO 1500SAF is a high-alloy super-duplex stainless steel.
To keep productivity up, our expert teams are always available to trouble-shoot.
