The ScatterPro BX is a world first: a scattering system capable of handling sticky, non-free-flowing powders. This opens the door to dry process production of thin electrode layers and other advanced materials.
The IPCO ScatterPro BX system provides a reliable, precise, and high-productivity solution to the challenge of forming sticky or non-free-flowing materials into a thin layer with absolute precision.
Advances in battery technologies are bringing new levels of efficiency to energy storage, but they also present new challenges. One such area is battery production, specifically the production of thin electrode layers using dry processes.
Using innovative geometries and component design, this unique system enables agglomerating powders – often clay-like in consistency with a tendency to clumping – to be distributed in a constant, uniform layer.
While the ScatterPro BX has been specifically designed to provide a solution for the battery industry, potential applications extend to any non-free-flowing powder material.
Precision scattering of non-free-flowing powders
Dry process for production of thin electrode layers
Special design for risk-free processing of abrasive materials
System versatility, with throughput rates to meet all needs
As this is a completely new technology, we have pilot plants in place at our productivity centers and the opportunity to rent a ScatterPro unit. We welcome enquiries from businesses that would like to take part in prototyping and testing projects and other R&D work for specific applications.
