Challenging, potentially corrosive materials can be safely converted into pastilles for safe and easy transportation, storage, dosing, and reprocessing.
The Rotoform 4G CR is constructed using special materials, including nickel-based superalloys, for the safe and efficient granulation of corrosive products.
Our patented Rotoform pastillation process produces consistently sized pastilles directly from the melt to help you maximize competitiveness through improved quality and productivity.
With the Rotoform 4G CR you can apply this market-leading solidification process to melts that are too corrosive to be processed using equipment with standard-grade stainless steel components. The 4G CR uses superalloys Hastelloy and Iconel, which are harder, stronger and more durable than stainless steel, for key components. The belt is made of high-alloy stainless steel developed for use in corrosive environments. These modifications allow you to process melts such as:
Magnesium chloride
Calcium chloride
Sodium hydroxide or caustic soda

How it works
Like all Rotoform lines, the Rotoform 4G CR combines a drop depositor with a steel belt-based cooler. Drops of molten product are deposited onto the moving belt by means of a perforated rotating shell that turns concentrically around a heated stator.
The heat of the drops is transferred via the steel belt cooler to water sprayed underneath, resulting in controlled cooling. The solidified droplets are discharged from the steel belt as uniform hemispherical pastilles.
Benefits
Direct from-the-melt solidification
Consistent pastille shape and size
High bulk density for storage and packing
Free flowing for easy handling, storage and reprocessing
Environmentally friendly production – dust-free, no risk of cross contamination of cooling water
Very low vapor/ gas emissions
Benefits
The Rotoform 4G CR is able to process corrosive melts into granules of the same size and shape every time.
Engineered for efficient granulation of difficult-to-handle salt melts
Corrosion-resistant components of Hastelloy and Iconel superalloys, suitable for acidic and oxidizing environments
High-alloy duplex stainless steel cooler belt of a grade specifically developed for corrosive products
