The Rotoform MI is lab-scale pastillation unit designed for process testing and pilot plants, allowing you to define quality, production rates, and other key parameters of products in development. The MI is precision engineered to the same high standards as all full-size Rotoform models and is suitable for use with food or chemicals.
It is available to buy, or you can rent a Rotoform MI from your local IPCO office.
The Rotoform MI enables you to produce premuim-quality, uniform, free-flowing pastilles from a range of products, making them easy to store, handle, dose, and reprocess. Its small scale makes the MI suitable for streamlining product development and testing process parameters before scaling up to full production. It combines a small steel belt cooler with a matching Rotoform feeding device, comprising stator, metering bar, rotating shell, refeed bar, and drive.

How it works
Like all Rotoform lines, the Rotoform MI combines a drop depositor with a steel belt-based cooler. Drops of molten product are deposited onto the moving belt by means of a perforated rotating shell that turns concentrically around a heated stator.
The heat of the drops is transferred via the steel belt cooler to water sprayed underneath, resulting in controlled cooling. The solidified droplets are discharged from the steel belt as uniform hemispherical pastilles.
