The Rotoform XG is a high-capacity, low-maintenance pastillation system offering superior handling of low-viscosity melts containing solid particles. With twice the throughput rates of the standard Rotoform 4G, the XG can handle slurries with viscosities under 100 mPas for the chemical processing industry.

The Rotoform XG is designed to convert solid-containing melts (suspensions) into high-quality pastilles of 2–4 mm diameter. It incorporates productivity-enhancing innovations, including a sliding base frame for easy access, a new stator design for much easier cleaning and maintenance, and a new bearing system with fewer parts and increased wear resistance.

How it works
Like all Rotoform lines, the Rotoform XG combines a drop depositor with a steel belt-based cooler. Drops of molten product are deposited onto the moving belt by means of a perforated rotating shell that turns concentrically around a heated stator.
The heat of the drops is transferred via the steel belt cooler to water sprayed underneath, resulting in controlled cooling. The solidified droplets are discharged from the steel belt as uniform hemispherical pastilles.
