IPCO to highlight battery manufacturing solutions with expert session at The Battery Show Europe 2026

09 - 11 June 2026 | Stuttgart | Hall 1, Stand 1-J48

IPCO will present its expanded capabilities for advanced battery manufacturing at The Battery Show Europe 2026 in Stuttgart, highlighting how its technologies support the continuous production of next-generation battery solutions. At Hall 1, Stand J48, visitors can explore IPCO’s roll-to-roll and double belt press technologies and their role in enabling scalable, high-quality production processes.

Speaking session at the Battery Tech Theater

A key highlight of IPCO’s presence will be its technical presentation at the Battery Tech Theater:

  • Date: 9 June 2026

  • Time: 14:00

  • Topic: Equipment solutions for continuous manufacturing of next-generation batteries: roll-to-roll processing and double belt pressing

  • Speakers: Petrik Ziebeil | CTO @IPCO & Phil Koppenhofer | Global Segment Manager Energy Storage

During the session, IPCO experts will explain how integrated process solutions can help manufacturers address challenges specific to emerging battery technologies—particularly in achieving consistent quality, material performance and scalability.

The Battery Show Europe provides the opportunity to present the company’s expanded technology capability following the acquisition of New Era, a web converting equipment manufacturing business based in New Jersey, USA. New Era's technology platform – spanning web handling, coating, laminating, embossing and calendering – broadens IPCO's presence in key industries, particularly the energy sector, and complements its existing double belt press and precision film casting solutions.

IPCO can now offer a fully integrated, continuous manufacturing concept for advanced battery production, a turnkey approach that combines roll-to-roll processing and double belt pressing into a single, scalable production workflow. This addresses one of the industry's most pressing practical challenges – reliably connecting individual process steps into a continuous production line.

New Era's precise coating, web handling and calendering of electrode materials feeds seamlessly into IPCO's double belt press systems, which apply controlled area pressure under temperature to consolidate, densify and laminate multi-layer electrode structures in a continuous pass. The result is an end-to-end solution suited to both dry electrode manufacturing and solid-state battery concepts, where interlayer bonding, material densification and consistent quality at scale are critical to cell performance.

Expert exchange on-site

Petrik Ziebeil, CTO @ IPCO, comments: “Visitors will have the opportunity to discuss specific production challenges with specialists from across both double belt press and web converting technologies. We are there to show how our technologies can be integrated to support their development and production goals.”
